Simo Saastamoinen has been appointed as the new Chief Financial and HR Director of the Iivari Mononen Group, starting on November 1, 2023. Kaj Källarsson is moving to become the CEO of the ice hockey elite league team HPK, continuing in his current role until November 30, 2023.
“Simo brings a wealth of experience and international expertise to our group. Welcome to the team!” says CEO Ari Mononen.
Saastamoinen has had a long career in international companies and has most recently served in both the CEO and CFO roles at the forest technology and material handling group Kesla. He has a degree of Master of Science in engineering.
“It’s great to be part of the rapidly developing international business of the Iivari Mononen Group and at the same time to move forward in the value chain of wood processing from technology suppliers to the actual wood processing process. There is a lot of interesting work and encounters throughout the group’s organization ahead, so I am eagerly looking forward to the start of our teamwork in early November,” comments Simo Saastamoinen on his new role.
