Impregnated Sawn and Planed Timber
PrimaTimber Oy is a producer of preservative treated sawn and planed timber. They also produce round timber products for agricultural and other outdoor use. As a part of the Iivari Mononen Group the company has a solid experience in the production of impregnated wood products.
The company's business idea is to serve their customers by providing high quality courtyard and garden products and components treated with impregnation against rot cost-efficiently via the best logistic channels. Their customers comprise wholesales and retail business chains and producers of finished products. The main market areas for these products are Finland and Western Europe
Impregnated wood products are available in A- and AB-class treatment. The suitable treatment class is defined by the use of the product.
A-class
If the product will be in direct contact with ground or water, the Impregnated wood in the A-class is the right choice. A-class is used, for example, in jetties, banisters and bridges, as well as in castings, base floors and lower courses on construction sites.
In order to make consumer decisions about the right impregnation class easier we impregnate all products with the diameter of 48mm or more to A-class.
AB-class
Impregnated wood with AB-class impregnation is suitable for constructions above ground. Typical uses for AB-class Impregnated wood are decking for jetties, terraces, pergolas, flower- and sand boxes and playground constructions.
All products with the diameter of 45mm or less are AB-class impregnated products.
Raw material
We acquire sawn and planed wood as well as small round timber products from our subcontractors. Our primary raw material is from the slow-growing pine forests of Eastern and Northern Finland.
We are specialised in products sawn from small-diameter logs, which are usually sawn in two-piece sawing. In this way we ensure that our customers will get the best possible product which contains only very small and healthy branches.
Delivery
We deliver products mainly by road directly to the customer. Transportation is carried out by our local, reliable and long term co-operation partners Hence we can guarantee well-timed deliveries and customer satisfaction without compromising traffic safety. For deliveries abroad we use train and ship transportation.
